A Happy Face in the Sand
It was a sunny afternoon on Playa Norte, and Ritsuko and I were enjoying a bit of shade while lounging about at Buho's.
I was laying in a hammock, eyes half closed, sipping on a cold bottle of Superior. The warm gentle breeze enveloped me as my eyes closed, my mind conjuring abstract images as sounds near and distant of music, voices in conversation and laughter, and the happy sounds of dogs barking pervaded my semi-consciousness.
The sound of Ritsuko giggling just a few feet from my hammock drew me from my trance. She was drawing in the sand with her feet, and laughing as her creation came to be. I got out of the hammock, and stood beside her, sharing a moment of joy as we looked down at the sand.
